The following product was supplied by the people over at MerConnet and you can buy one these for a mer (get it, eh eh? Never mind XD) $19, which for us British is around £12.
So, what is the Magic I Key Chain? Well its used to store information such as telephone numbers. It also has the capability to show you world time and information of 100 word cities amongst other features. But the main feature is the way you can transfer onto the Magic I, but more about that later.
Meanwhile, let me show you a few pics and point out the features:

Nice wrapped sir ;)
Here you can see the packaging, w000t ;) - Nice packaging, keeps it all secure etc.

The back of the nicly wrapped Magic I
The arrow pointing, if you can see it, points to the "Magic I". Which gives this its name. More about it later though.
Lets take a look at tfhe unit it self:

Looks like a fish to me
The Magic I itself, is a small unit. Made with a strong plastic and the main colours being blue and grey. The grey end to the right is one of 2 parts that controls general usage of the device. If you can just read what it says on it, it says "Enter" and also has two directional arrows printed on. If your super clever you would of guessed this is how you enter stuff ;). Its the interface for entering text/numbers and confirming details. The grey end can move in (for enter), up and down (for selections). The small yellow button to the left is how you select what mode you want. IE, time, address book etc. Its a very simple interface. Its not a device with sixty odd buttons and knobs. It intergrates two buttons, where one can be used as three. It is also considerably easy to hold compard to some. The round, smooth shape fits nicly into your hand. As I said earlier, it is also a very small device, the image below shows the flatness:

Fits into your hand nicly :D
You wont be able to see the back fully, but there is also a reset press in, and two battery covers at the back.
Well, time to talk about this Magic I, eh? ;).
Well, in laymens terms this is how the device can recieve data. Its a small, almost pin prick on the device, but it has a sensor to pick up a signal submitted by your monitor. Who ever found this out that a monitor can transmit certain types of data is IMHO, very clever ;). But this is how it works :D.
You dont get the software with the unit, which is no bummer, as you dont need the software. But the software just utilises all of its features. The main one being able to recieve data via your monitor. If you want the software it is available from the Merconnet web site: the software. The download is only small (162.6kb), and its compressed to a .zip file. The software should of been included on a floppy disk. I understand this could of added £1-2 more on the overal price, but that would of only bumped it up to £14, not much extra. But as I said, the software isnt vital, and is probably why it isn't included.
The screenshots you will see now is the software that uses the Magic I:

Welcoming screen

The number entering screen

The sending details

Taks you by step by step

Simple to follow

Get ready

DOH !
Yes, thats right, thats a nice win XP error :(. The software isnt compatiable with Win XP. In fact, it is only compatiable with Win 98 and ME. Boooo. But, as said twice now, the software isnt vital and you can do everything without it.
So, there you go. The Magic I in all its glory. Now, would I buy this? The fact is I personally wouldnt buy it. I simply have no need for it. But someone else who does happen to end up with bits of paper with peoples phone numbers etc on, this is a good companion.
For the tiny cost, you really cant go without. But I think the main attraction would be for the kids. Plain and simple. This is a small device, very easy to operate, it doesnt have the features you expect to see on more expensive units that do similar things. But the price of this device is right.
Pros:
Very easy to operate
Small and lightweight
Does what it says
Cons:
Software doesnt support Win XP/ME
Software isn't included
