The recent case supplied by Antec, is an entry level server case, theres one thing that all server cases need. A removable caddy ! To me, a server isn't a server without a removable HDD caddy ! You have seen the neon string mod I did on the server, now you will see a must have accessory added to the case !

This is the caddy, all sealed up and ready to be used :D
The full spcecs, as provided by Antec are below:
- Interface IDE DMA33/66/100
- Suitable Drive 3.5" form factor, 1" or Half Height Devices
- LED/LCD Display LED (power and HDD access
- DC On/Off Switch Key Lock On/Off Switch
- Cooling Rear
- Material Frame/Front Panel: Aluminum Alloy Covers: SECC Treated Sheet Metal with painted finishing
- Weight 2.1 lbs. (900 g)
- Dimensions 5.75"(W) x 1.7"(H) x 9.25"(D) 147x44x236 mm
There are features inbuilt that are a nice touch. Such as a key lock that has to be locked for the HDD to be on, as well as having a 60mm cooling fan at the rear. This is a silent fan that pushes a fair bit of air!
Time for some images of the caddy:

The manual - everything comes wrapped up, keys and screws inside!

The handle, grill, key lock and the power/activity LEDs
You use the handle to take out the caddy from the fixed part, and it slides out with ease.

You can see the circuit board and the rear fan here - The circuit board houses the molex connector and the IDE connector
The molex connector from your PSU connects to the fixed part of the caddy, the IDE cable from your motherboard connects to the fixed part of the caddy. Inside the part of the caddy that you install the drive is a short IDE cable and molex connector these connect to the HDD. When you slide it all in, the circuit board on the fixed part of the caddy, connects with the circuit on the removable part of the caddy :) Have I lost you yet? ;)

There you can see circuit board and fan of the fixed part of the caddy
That's talked through the caddy parts, time to fit it to the case !
